Nineteen of the Russian's 21 championships have been earned on hard courts
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev secured his initial championship for over two years with success over opponent Moutet in the competition final.
The athlete, a ex- number one, has experienced a torrid season, achieving just one match at the major tournaments and undergoing a difficult moment at the New York tournament.
The player's unpredictability on the professional circuit - and difficulties with his serve in especial - led to him dropping out of the top ten and finally separating with long-time trainer his previous coach.
Currently training with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has gradually advanced in the last few weeks - culminating in a closely contested 7-5 4-6 6-3 victory over challenger Corentin Moutet.
It is Medvedev's initial championship since the Italian tournament and first on a hard surface since spring of the previous year.
The win also signifies he has secured 21 titles at twenty-one various events.
"For the first time I have attended a competition with my children at once, so to secure a championship is particularly special," stated ranked player the champion.
"This victory is in dedication of my second daughter her name, because the initial championship I achieved when my older daughter her name was born was for her."
The athlete, the former major winner, had lost his last six finals, featuring in the German tournament previously this season.
The player's defensive play style and regular outbursts on the playing surface had prompted observers to doubt if his ability to play at the elite level was over.
Yet the player has made changes in recent weeks, attempting to advance forward and compete assertively, reinforced by an enhanced serve.
The champion came back from a break down in the first set against the tricky Frenchman, securing four of the concluding five games to gain the advantage.
Both players exchanged breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, bidding for his first tour championship, seized the initiative to create a final set.
Moutet rescued 4 early-game chances in a tight deciding set before Medvedev broke to fifteen to close out the victory.
Appropriately, Medvedev earned victory with a rally at the front of the court, with Moutet unable to control a return after over two and a half hours.
